I help Shopify brands and agencies build custom storefront features, fix theme issues, and connect Shopify with the other tools they use.

I’m Karim, a developer in Victoria, BC. I’ve worked with Shopify since 2016 and have 17+ years in web development. Goodharbour is my independent software studio. You talk to me, and I do the work.

My work covers Liquid themes, product and collection pages, cart features, custom apps, and integrations. When a feature needs more than the theme, I build the APIs, webhooks, and Rails backend behind it.

At PIVOT, a Shopify Plus agency partner, I contributed to more than 20 custom storefronts as part of small development teams. I also built and maintain FieldsRaven, a published Shopify app that captures storefront data and saves it to Shopify metafields.

I take on defined projects and ongoing development, directly with brands or alongside agency teams. We agree on the scope, I keep you updated, and I test and document the work before handover. If a smaller change or an existing tool fits better, I’ll say so.

Karim was great to work with on my store. We had him build a custom text box for our Letter Ring, rework our product options and sort out the mobile header, and all three came back clean and working as they should. Can you help with my store, even if I’m not sure what needs to change?
Yes. You don’t need to come to me with a technical brief. Tell me what’s getting in the way, what you want customers to be able to do, and send me your store link. It might be one small fix, a new feature or a bigger project. I’ll look at what you already have and explain the options in plain language. If a theme change or an existing app does the job, I’ll say so.
How much will it cost, and how long will it take?
My packaged services start at US$299 for a wishlist, US$399 for product registration and US$499 for customer preferences. Each uses FieldsRaven, which has a separate US$29.99/month subscription billed through Shopify. For other work, send me your store link, what you want to change, and any budget or deadline you’re working with. I’ll review the setup and agree on the scope, cost and a realistic timeline with you before starting. If a problem needs investigation first, we’ll scope that separately. If the scope changes, we’ll agree on any effect on cost and timing before I go ahead.
What is it like to work with you, and what happens after launch?
You work directly with me. I’m the person asking the questions, writing the code and keeping you updated. We’ll agree on what we’re building and how you’ll review it, so you know what to expect. I test the work before launch and walk you through what changed at handover. If you have a designer or an agency involved, I can work alongside them. And if you need help after launch, we can agree on ongoing maintenance or the next round of improvements.
