PushOwl Help for Shopify: Web Push, Email and SMS Setup

PushOwl, now listed on the App Store as Brevo PushOwl, sends web push notifications, email and SMS from one Shopify app. It runs abandoned cart, back-in-stock and price drop alerts, plus campaigns and pop-ups. As of October 2026, the free plan covers 500 web pushes a month with unlimited subscribers, and paid plans start at $19 a month. Plans are on PushOwl's App Store page.

Installing it is the short part. Outside help pays off on the rules around it: when the opt-in prompt appears, how iPhone shoppers subscribe, how often anyone gets a push, and how push, email and SMS share one cart reminder without tripling it.

If nobody in the listing below matches what you need, the email marketing experts linked lower down handle the same setup.

Send them your monthly sessions, how much of your traffic is on iPhone, and the email and SMS tools you use now.

PushOwl work that needs a specialist

Switching PushOwl on is quick. Making push earn its place next to email and SMS takes more thought.

Opt-in timing. The prompt decides how many subscribers you collect. When it appears, on which pages and with what message is the first thing to settle.

iPhone subscribers. On iOS 16.4 and later, shoppers must add the store to their Home Screen before they can subscribe. The iOS prompt is a separate switch in the Opt-ins settings, with its own title and byline.

Channel overlap. Cart, stock and price alerts exist in push, and the app sends email and SMS too. An email marketing specialist decides which channel sends which reminder, so nobody gets the same nudge three times.

Power plan features. Flash sale campaigns and browse abandonment need Power. Plan the sale calendar before upgrading.

Flow and reviews hookups. PushOwl works with Shopify Flow, checkout, customer accounts and several reviews apps, and offers APIs and webhooks. Wiring those up is app integration work.

Headless storefronts. PushOwl's docs have a separate guide for headless stores. That install needs a developer.

No hire needed. One store, the default cart reminder and the free plan's 500 pushes a month: PushOwl's getting-started docs cover it.

How to brief and test a PushOwl expert

Push is easy to overdo. These questions show whether someone plans for restraint.

When should the prompt appear? A good answer depends on page type and traffic source, not one default delay for every visitor.

How will you handle iPhone visitors? They should know the iOS 16.4 minimum, the Home Screen step and the separate iOS prompt, and explain how shoppers will be told what to do.

How many pushes will a subscriber get? Expect a written weekly plan and an order of priority between cart, stock, price and sale alerts.

Which tier fits our sends? They should size it from your subscriber count and send calendar against the 500, 10,000 and 25,000 monthly push limits.

Pitches to turn down. A prompt on first page load for everyone. Nothing about iOS. The same cart reminder planned in all three channels.

Starter job. Opt-in and iOS prompts configured, one abandoned cart sequence split between push and email, and a one-page note on what goes out when.

Brevo PushOwl plans, limits and iOS details

Plans by monthly volume. As of October 2026, the listing shows Free (500 web pushes, emails from 500), Plus at $19 a month or $180 a year (10,000 pushes, emails from 1,000) and Power at $79 a month or $852 a year (25,000 pushes). Subscribers are unlimited on Free.

What sits on higher plans. Flash sale campaigns and browse abandonment are Power features. Hero images and shipping updates in push start on Plus.

iOS rules. iOS 16.4 or later, a Home Screen install, and Chrome or Safari. PushOwl can't detect the Home Screen install, so some subscribed visitors still see the Safari widget and dismiss it. Focus mode and Scheduled Summary can mute alerts.

Trial. PushOwl's site mentions a 14-day free trial, but the App Store listing doesn't describe one. Check in the app.

Dashboard languages. English, French, Spanish, German, Portuguese (Brazil) and Italian.

The Brevo name. The App Store lists it as Brevo PushOwl: Email, Push, SMS, and PushOwl's site says "PushOwl, by Brevo".

PushOwl Shopify FAQs: iPhone push, plans and setup

Does PushOwl work on iPhones?

Yes, on iOS 16.4 or later. The shopper adds your store to the Home Screen from the Share menu, opens the new icon and taps subscribe. You turn on the iOS prompt in PushOwl's Opt-ins settings. Focus mode or Scheduled Summary on the phone can still mute the alerts.

How much does Brevo PushOwl cost?

As of October 2026, the free plan includes 500 web pushes a month with unlimited subscribers. Plus is $19 a month for 10,000 pushes, and Power is $79 for 25,000, with yearly prices lower. Flash sales and browse abandonment need Power. An expert's fee is separate.

Can PushOwl replace my email app?

It sends email campaigns, newsletters, pop-ups and SMS as well as push, so it can. You can also run push alone next to the email app you have. Decide automation by automation, so a cart reminder is never sent from two places at once.

Do I need a developer for PushOwl on Shopify?

Not on a standard Shopify theme, where the install and prompts are set in the app. A developer helps with a headless storefront, which PushOwl documents separately, and with work through its APIs, webhooks or Shopify Flow.

What should I send a PushOwl expert first?

Monthly sessions, the share of traffic on iPhone, your current email and SMS tools with the automations they run, and your sale calendar. Add your subscriber count if you already use PushOwl. That is enough to choose a plan and draft the send rules.
