Stord Help for Shopify: Fulfillment Onboarding, OMS and Inventory Placement

Stord is a fulfillment company that also sells its own order management (OMS) and warehouse management (WMS) software, and its Shopify app connects your store to both. Orders, products, inventory and fulfillments pass between Shopify and Stord. The app is free to install; what you pay depends on the agreement you sign with Stord. Stord on the Shopify App Store.

The install is the small part. Someone has to clean product data before it syncs, decide which Stord facilities hold which stock, bring wholesale orders in next to DTC ones, and check the delivery dates Stord shows shoppers at checkout.

When no profile below fits, the order management and ERP integration specialists linked at the end of this page take on Stord projects as well.

Brief them with a year of order history by destination, your SKU list with dimensions, and every system that touches an order today.

What a Stord fulfillment move asks of your team

Stord brings warehouses and software in one contract. That makes the scoping question bigger than with a warehouse-only provider.

Deciding what Stord replaces. Fulfillment only, or also order routing, inventory planning and returns? Each Stord module you switch on retires a tool or a process you run today, and someone should list which.

Product data before sync. Products flow from Shopify into Stord. Duplicate SKUs, missing barcodes and blank dimensions travel with them, so fix them first.

Stock placement. Stord reviews your current operation with its data science team, then you decide which nodes carry which SKUs. Bring your own view of demand by region to that conversation.

Wholesale and retail orders. Stord handles B2B and retail distribution with LTL and drayage freight. Getting wholesale orders from Shopify or an ERP into Stord is integration work, often for ERP and backend integration specialists.

Delivery promises. Stord's listing shows an estimated delivery date at checkout. Test what shoppers see in each region before it goes live.

Cold and dated stock. Frozen, refrigerated and chilled capacity exists, and Stord sells an expiration management module. Lot and expiry data needs a clear owner.

Where Stord's onboarding covers you. Network analysis, inbound coordination and, at partner facilities, an on-site Warehouse Excellence team are part of Stord's process. A brand shipping only DTC parcels from one node may need little more.

Finding the right Stord integration partner

Look for someone who has moved a brand between fulfillment providers and can read an order flow end to end. Prior Stord work helps; systems thinking matters more.

Which Stord pieces will you configure? A strong answer separates the 3PL service from the OMS and WMS software and asks which you bought.

What will you hand Stord's analysis team? Expect a specific list: twelve months of orders with ship-to ZIP or postal codes, SKU velocity, dimensions and weights, and seasonal peaks.

How will Shopify show stock across several nodes? They should have a plan for available-to-sell numbers, not just a promise that inventory syncs.

How do wholesale orders enter? Listen for a named source, whether Shopify B2B, an ERP or a spreadsheet, and the route each takes into Stord. Order management specialists usually ask this first.

Reasons for doubt. Guaranteed transit times or savings before Stord has analyzed your data, or no plan for returns.

Commission a systems map first. Every tool that touches an order today, what it becomes after Stord, and the test orders that prove each handoff.

Stord pricing, network and sync details that shape the project

Pricing by agreement. The app costs nothing to install. As of October 2026 Stord publishes no rates: charges depend on each merchant's partnership with Stord, billed in USD, and its pricing page asks you to schedule time with the team for a custom model.

What the connector moves. Stord lists orders, products, inventory and fulfillments in the Shopify data flow. Check how cancellations, edits and returns are handled on your account before launch, since that page does not cover them.

Network shape. Stord describes 15 key nodes covering North America, an expanded network of more than 80 hand-selected facilities, and a separate UK and Europe network. Its own facilities across the US and Canada are supplemented by partners for remote areas.

Onboarding pace. Stord's three steps are network analysis, integration with inbound coordination, then scaling and re-routing stock. It lists deployment as days to weeks.

Accuracy checks. Products are scanned in and out, and cycle counts are available on request. Ask for them during the first peak.

Listing basics. Launched on the App Store in February 2023, English only, filed under orders and checkout.

Stord fulfillment and WMS questions from Shopify brands

What is Stord?

Stord is a US company, based in Atlanta, that runs fulfillment, warehousing and freight for DTC and B2B brands and sells the software behind it: an OMS, a WMS, order routing, multichannel inventory, returns and inventory planning. Its Shopify app connects your store to that stack.

How does Stord pricing work?

There is no public rate card as of October 2026. The Shopify app is free to install, and charges depend on your partnership agreement with Stord. Its pricing page routes you to a call with the team to build a custom model, so prepare order volumes and SKU counts before that call.

Is Stord a 3PL or a WMS?

Both. Stord offers fulfillment through its own nodes and partner facilities, and it sells OMS and WMS software as part of the same offering. Decide early which parts you are buying, because the integration work differs: a 3PL connection moves orders and stock, while running Stord's software can replace tools you already pay for.

Do I need a developer to connect Stord to Shopify?

Not for the standard app, which syncs orders, products, inventory and fulfillments. You need technical help when wholesale orders come from an ERP, when several systems already touch inventory, or when you want delivery dates shown at checkout to match what the warehouse can promise.

What should I prepare before moving fulfillment to Stord?

Twelve months of orders with destinations, SKU dimensions and weights, peak-season volumes, a list of wholesale accounts and how their orders arrive, and every app that changes inventory today. Stord's analysis is only as good as the history you give it.
