AfterShip Shopify Tracking Experts

AfterShip Order Tracking gives a store a branded tracking page, automated email and SMS shipping updates across more than 1,100 carriers, and AI-predicted delivery dates. An AfterShip Shopify install works with checkout, customer accounts, Shopify Flow and the admin. AfterShip also sells returns, shipping, warranty and order-editing products separately; tracking is the focus here.

Merchants hire help to make the tracking page look like the rest of the store, point Shopify's shipping emails at it, show delivery estimates on product pages and in checkout, and clear out order-status scripts that stopped running in 2025 and 2026.

As of October 2026, 4 shopexperts profiles carry the AfterShip badge, split evenly between agencies and freelancers, in Canada, North Macedonia and the US. All four list store setup and management. Look at their work below and send your AfterShip plan, your main carriers and a screenshot of your shipping confirmation email.

AfterShip tracking jobs worth paying for

Order tracking looks simple from the outside: a page, some emails. On a real store, the work is making sure every customer lands on the same page from every link, and that the page earns its place in the post-purchase journey.

The tracking page. Branding AfterShip's tracking page to match the theme and adding its product recommendation blocks, so a customer checking a parcel sees something worth buying next.

Making it reachable. Adding the page to the store navigation and rewriting the links in Shopify's own notification templates, so the shipping confirmation sends people to AfterShip rather than Shopify's default order status page.

Shipping updates. Setting up AfterShip's automated email and SMS notifications, deciding which delivery events trigger a message, and agreeing which messages Shopify still sends.

Delivery estimates. Putting the AI estimated delivery date widget on product pages and in checkout, where it answers the "when will it arrive" question before someone buys.

Connections. Linking tracking events to Shopify Flow, a helpdesk or an email platform, so support agents and marketing flows see the same shipment status.

Clean-up. Moving across from another tracking tool and removing old order-status-page scripts that no longer run.

AfterShip rarely calls for a developer. The job is placing app blocks, editing templates and testing every link. Code comes in mainly when the delivery-date widget has to go in as Liquid rather than as an app block.

Choosing someone for your AfterShip Shopify integration

With four badge holders, you can read every profile in ten minutes. Look for proof of tracking work on live stores, not general app installs.

Ask to see a tracking page they built. Then place a test order on that store if you can, and follow the shipping email link. If it lands on Shopify's default page instead of the branded one, the job wasn't finished.

Ask how they'd handle your order status page. Anyone working on Shopify tracking in late 2026 should mention that checkout.liquid and additional scripts no longer run on the Order status and Thank you pages, and that app blocks took their place.

Confirm the plan before scoping. Delivery estimates before purchase need AfterShip's Premium or Enterprise plan. A proposal that includes them on a lower plan hasn't checked.

Ask about referral ties. AfterShip pays agencies in its partner programme a commission on referrals, plus bonuses for plan upgrades. That's normal, but ask whether a candidate is in it before you act on an upgrade recommendation.

Red flags. A plan to paste scripts into checkout settings. A promised drop in support tickets.

Start with one paid job: have them brand the tracking page, swap the order status link in your shipping confirmation template, and send proof from a real shipment.

Order status page changes an AfterShip expert should know

Scripts on the Order status page are finished. Shopify switched off checkout.liquid and additional scripts on the Order status and Thank you pages on 28 August 2025. Script tags on the Order status page stopped running for Plus stores that day and for every other store on 26 August 2026. Any AfterShip snippet still sitting in those places has stopped working.

Don't build on the old button article. AfterShip's help article for the "Track order with AfterShip" button still describes adding it through Settings, Checkout and checkout.liquid, and warns the method may stop working. Shopify sunset both of those on its post-purchase pages in August 2025, so ask your expert what they'd put in its place, and check it on a test order.

The tracking page lives behind an app proxy. AfterShip serves it at /apps/aftership/order-status on your store domain. That URL goes into the menu under Content, then Menus, and replaces the default order status link inside Shopify's notification templates.

Delivery dates have two install paths. On product pages, the estimate goes in through the theme extension as an app block, or as Liquid code added to the theme. In checkout, it's an app block placed in the checkout editor. Both need the Premium or Enterprise plan.

Plan figures disagree. AfterShip prices on shipment volume, with overage charges on paid plans, and the App Store listing and AfterShip's pricing page don't always match. Check the vendor page before agreeing scope.

Where the AfterShip specialists' skills sit

The 4 AfterShip profiles overlap heavily: every one lists store setup, and three of four cover design, development and support.

Store setup and management

On every profile: app install, plan choice and notification settings

Design, UX and branding

Three profiles: tracking page layout and recommendation blocks

Shopify development

Three profiles: Liquid delivery-date widgets and template edits

Technical support and maintenance

Three profiles, useful after the August 2026 script cut-off

Operations, logistics and fulfilment

Two profiles: carrier set-up and shipment exceptions

AfterShip integrations, plans and carriers: FAQs

Is there a free AfterShip plan?

Yes. The App Store listing includes a free plan with a monthly shipment allowance, and paid plans come with a 7-day free trial. The paid tiers are Essentials and Premium, with Enterprise on AfterShip's own site. Pricing rises with shipment volume, so give any expert your monthly shipment count before they recommend a plan.

Which AfterShip integrations do Shopify stores set up?

The Shopify side is covered by the app itself: checkout, customer accounts, Shopify Flow and the admin. Beyond that, the common jobs connect tracking events to a helpdesk, so agents see shipment status on a ticket, and to an email platform, so marketing messages don't contradict the shipping updates.

Should an agency or a freelancer handle my AfterShip integration?

This badge group is 2 agencies and 2 freelancers. A freelancer handles a tracking page, template edits or a delivery-date widget well. An agency fits when tracking sits inside a wider post-purchase project with helpdesk and email changes. Between them, the four profiles also list German, Spanish, French, Macedonian and Serbian.

Where will my support team see delivery problems?

AfterShip has a central shipment dashboard with analytics on shipping status and on-time performance, and it flags orders at risk of a "where is my order" contact. Ask your expert to set up views your support team will actually open, rather than leaving the dashboard to whoever installed the app.

Will AfterShip track my carriers?

AfterShip lists more than 1,100 carriers, so coverage is wide. The useful check is narrower. Send the expert your actual carrier list, including any regional or freight carriers, and ask them to confirm each one returns tracking events on a real parcel before the branded page goes live.
