Inveterate Memberships

Inveterate Shopify Help: Paid Memberships, Tiers and Perks

Inveterate Shopify memberships turn repeat buyers into members: paid and free tiers with member pricing, discounts, cash back, store credit, free shipping and member-only products. The app is listed as Inveterate by Onward, launched in April 2022, and its developer is based in Nashville. As of October 2026 the free plan covers up to 50 members with a 10% revenue share, and paid plans start at $500 a month. Inveterate on the App Store.

The settings are point and click. The hard part is the offer: what a paid tier costs, which perks it carries, how members hear about credit and renewals, and whether free shipping holds up at checkout.

If nobody in the listing below fits the project, the loyalty, email and checkout experts linked further down take on the same work.

Where an Inveterate program needs expert hands

A membership program fails on economics long before it fails on setup. Most paid help goes into the offer.

Perk economics. Member pricing, discounts, cash back, free shipping and store credit all come out of margin. A loyalty program expert models what a paid tier must cost, and how often members must order, for it to pay for itself.

Free and paid tiers together. The listing describes tiers from free rewards for casual shoppers up to paid tiers, and the help center has an advanced guide on spend-based tiers. Deciding where each step sits is strategy work.

Landing page and messaging. Program setup covers tiers, benefits, a member landing page and messaging. Someone has to write an offer a shopper understands in one read.

Plus shipping scripts. On Shopify Plus, a free shipping script lets member free shipping sit alongside discount codes. Inveterate marks it for advanced developers and does not support it, so it belongs with checkout customization specialists.

Member emails and texts. Klaviyo and Postscript are listed integrations. An email marketing expert builds welcome, renewal and unused-credit reminders.

Store and app checks. Shopify POS and Tapcart are on the integration list, so test that perks apply in store and in the mobile app.

Try it small first. The free plan allows 50 members with self-serve onboarding. A test tier with a handful of loyal customers needs no outside help.

Questions for anyone building your membership

The right person talks about margin and order frequency before they talk about the dashboard.

Ask how they would price your tier. A good answer starts from contribution margin, average order value and how often your best customers already reorder.

Ask about plan cost. Have them model when the free plan's 10% revenue share stops being cheaper than Starter's flat $500, and when order volume pushes you past Starter's 1,500 orders a month.

Ask about the member tag. Inveterate's shipping script spots members by the customer tag inveterate-subscriber. They should explain how your email tool, helpdesk and other apps will read it.

On Plus, ask about shipping scripts. They should know only one shipping script can run at a time, that it hides split shipments and that it removes the Buy with Prime button.

Signals to look elsewhere. Stacking a member discount on every promotion without checking margin, or installing the shipping script on the live store without a test.

A first deliverable. A one-page benefit model with tier prices, perks and expected cost per member, plus draft landing page copy. Build only once the numbers hold.

Inveterate Shopify pricing, member tags and shipping limits

Pricing follows order volume. As of October 2026 the pricing page lists Free at $0 for up to 50 members with a 10% revenue share, limited platform access and paid memberships only. Starter is $500 a month for up to 1,500 orders, Growth $1,000 for up to 3,000 with a dedicated strategy team, and Enterprise is quoted above that. Paid plans list unlimited members and no revenue share.

Members are tagged. The free shipping script recognizes members by the customer tag inveterate-subscriber. A cart with no customer attached, or no tag, gets no shipping discount from the script.

Script limits. The script is Shopify Plus only and needs the Script Editor app. It applies to every shipping rate, can be limited by country, product, minimum spend or maximum shipping price, and is not compatible with split shipping.

Listed connections. The listing names Checkout, customer accounts and Shopify POS, plus Gorgias, Klaviyo, Postscript, Rebuy and Tapcart. The listing language is English.

Inveterate memberships: cost, tiers and shipping

How much does Inveterate cost?

As of October 2026, the pricing page lists a free plan for up to 50 members with a 10% revenue share, Starter at $500 a month for up to 1,500 orders, Growth at $1,000 for up to 3,000 orders, and custom Enterprise pricing beyond that. The App Store listing says it is free to install and that additional charges may apply.

Can I run a free membership tier alongside a paid one?

The listing describes tiers from free rewards up to paid memberships. The pricing page lists the free plan as paid memberships only, so plan on Starter or above if a free tier is part of the design. Confirm with Inveterate before you build.

Do members get free shipping automatically?

Free shipping is one of the benefits you configure without code. On Shopify Plus there is also an advanced script that lets member free shipping combine with discount codes. It needs the Script Editor app and a developer, since Inveterate does not support it.

Do I need a developer for Inveterate memberships?

Not for tiers, perks or the landing page, which are set up in the app. You need one for the Plus shipping script, for custom storefront behavior driven by the member tag, or when perks must work across POS and a mobile app.

What should I send an Inveterate expert first?

Your gross margin by product line, average order value, how often top customers reorder, current shipping rules and Shopify plan, and the email and SMS tools you use. Add any loyalty or rewards program you already run so the two don't overlap.
