Lifetimely Shopify Profit Analytics Experts

A Lifetimely Shopify setup answers a blunt question: what does each order, customer and channel earn once costs come out? The app builds a real-time profit and loss with sales forecasting, lifetime value and cohort reports, CAC by channel, attribution and custom dashboards. On Amp's site, where lifetimely.io now redirects, it is pitched as an AI profit analyst whose Profit Agent watches the store, explains where profit grows or leaks, recommends next steps and acts once you approve.

None of that is accurate without cost data. Merchants hire experts to load product costs, shipping and transaction fees, connect ad and email accounts, and build cohort views a finance team will trust.

As of October 2026, the Lifetimely badge sits on 3 shopexperts profiles: 1 agency and 2 freelancers, all based in Canada, and each lists store setup and management. When you get in touch, include your monthly order count, where product costs live today and which ad accounts you run.

Lifetimely setup: costs first, dashboards second

Lifetimely's reports are only as honest as the costs underneath them. The first job on any project is inputs, and the charts come after.

Cost set-up. Loading cost of goods sold, often by CSV import, then adding shipping costs, transaction fees and custom costs such as packaging. Lifetimely can read Shopify's Cost per item field or hold costs of its own, and an expert decides which source the business will keep current.

Data connections. Linking Meta, Google, TikTok, Pinterest and Snapchat ad accounts, plus email and subscription tools, so CAC and attribution reflect what you really spend to win a customer.

LTV and cohort reports. Building lifetime value views by segment and channel, with revenue, profit and CAC tracked per cohort, so repeat-purchase value sits beside acquisition cost.

Dashboards and forecasts. Custom dashboards with marketing and net profit metrics, plus the sales forecast, shaped for whoever reads them. A founder's morning view is a different thing from a monthly finance pack.

Attribution review. Checking attribution and customer journey reports so channel decisions rest on profit rather than revenue.

Profit audits. A one-off review of where margin goes, delivered as a reporting pack for founders or the finance team.

Getting ready for the Profit Agent. On paid plans the agent recommends actions and can carry them out once approved. An expert gets the cost data straight first, then agrees with you who on the team says yes.

Choosing a Lifetimely expert who starts with costs

Look for someone who talks about margins before dashboards. Polished charts on wrong costs are worse than no charts, because people act on them.

Ask where your costs will live. A good answer picks one source of truth for product costs and explains how it stays current when suppliers change prices.

Ask how they'll check the numbers. The right person reconciles a month of Lifetimely profit against your accounts before anyone makes decisions from it.

List your tools. Send every ad account, email platform and subscription tool you use, and ask which of those they've connected before. A connection they haven't done isn't a deal-breaker, as long as they say so.

Ask about the agent. If you plan to use the Profit Agent, ask how they'd decide which of its recommendations go to a person first and which can be approved routinely.

Red flags. Anyone who skips cost set-up to get to dashboards, or who talks about lifetime value without mentioning cost of goods once.

Begin with a cost audit. A small paid first task, checking that every product carries a correct cost and filling the gaps, is useful on its own and shows how they work.

Where Lifetimely Shopify numbers go wrong

Blank is not zero. Upload a zero where a cost should be blank and Lifetimely treats it as a real cost. It overrides the Shopify cost and wipes out the margin on that product. Leave unknown costs empty.

Know which cost wins. A product cost entered in Lifetimely beats Shopify's Cost per item, which beats the default COGS margin. Two half-maintained sources produce margins nobody can explain.

The default margin is a stopgap. When neither Lifetimely nor Shopify holds a cost, the default COGS margin fills in. Reports stop showing zero cost, but every product on the default shows the same margin, which hides your best and worst sellers.

Wait for the sync. Shopify data syncs automatically after install and can take from 30 minutes to 24 hours. CSV cost imports only work once the product sync is complete, so an expert schedules the upload rather than rushing it.

The agent needs a paid plan. There's a free plan for stores doing up to 50 orders a month, but the Profit Agent isn't on it. It's included on every paid plan, and each paid plan starts with a 14-day free trial.

Plan names differ by page. Tier names on the App Store don't match those on Amp's pricing page, which lists extra tiers. Budget from the vendor page and confirm the tier your order volume needs.

Lifetimely app questions merchants ask

Is Lifetimely by Amp a different app from Lifetimely?

No, it's the same product under a different banner. The old lifetimely.io address now redirects to Amp's site, and the help documentation sits under Amp, while the App Store listing still names Lifetimely as the developer. Search both names when you look for documentation, and don't let a brief that mentions only one of them confuse the scope.

What does Lifetimely LTV actually measure?

Lifetime value by customer segment and cohort, shown as revenue, profit and CAC over time. The useful version is profit LTV, not revenue LTV: once costs are loaded, you can see whether a cohort has earned back what it cost to acquire. That is the number to get right before you scale ad spend.

Can the Profit Agent change things in my store on its own?

Amp describes it as monitoring the store, spotting profit opportunities and acting on approval, so the approval step is the control. Decide before launch who on the team approves what, and start by reading its recommendations for a few weeks before approving any. Its advice is only as good as the cost data behind it.

Do I need a developer to set up the Lifetimely app?

Usually not. Lifetimely syncs Shopify data itself and connects ad accounts through its own settings. Development skills help when product costs sit in a spreadsheet or another system and need cleaning into a CSV, or when a large catalogue has gaps to fill. Most of the work is careful data entry and checking.

Should Lifetimely profit match my accountant's numbers?

Close, but rarely to the penny. Lifetimely builds a management view from Shopify data and the costs you load, while your accounts include costs it never sees unless you add them as custom costs. Ask your expert to reconcile one month and list the differences, so everyone knows which figure to use for which decision.
