ECA: Easy Subscriptions App

Easy Subscriptions App Help for Shopify: Boxes, Bundles and Billing

Easy Subscriptions App, from ECA Subscriptions in Salt Lake City, adds product subscriptions, curated boxes and build-a-box bundles to a Shopify store. It is Built for Shopify, listed since December 2023, and runs in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese. As of October 2026 the Starter plan is free up to 100 lifetime subscription orders; paid plans run from $39 to $399 a month. The app's App Store listing.

Merchants bring in help when bundle rules get complicated, when subscribers need moving off PayPal Express, Braintree, Authorize.net or Stripe billing, when the widget has to sit cleanly on an edited theme, and when retention flows and dunning need real offers behind them.

If nobody in the listing below fits the job, the payment, theme and email experts linked further down handle the same setup.

Start the conversation with your payment gateway, your box and bundle list, and an export of current subscribers.

Easy Subscriptions work that needs an expert

Turning on a subscribe option takes minutes. The work that pays for an expert sits in bundles, billing and the first renewals.

Box and bundle logic. Build a Box, curated boxes, multi-step bundle flows and bundle presets are all in the app. Someone has to set product pools, box sizes and price breaks so a custom box still earns its margin.

Billing moves from outside Shopify. ECA's help center has migration guides for PayPal Express, Authorize.net, Braintree and Stripe, plus a subscription import. A payment gateway expert checks which saved payment methods can carry over before anyone is charged.

Widget placement. Separate guides cover product page, collection page and account page widgets. On a heavily edited theme, theme customization work keeps the widget readable on mobile.

Retention offers and recovery. Retention flows arrive on Growth, and Dunning with Smart Recovery is on every plan. The skill is choosing which offer a departing subscriber sees and what the retry emails say.

Emails from your own domain. Custom email domain support and editable notifications mean subscription emails can match the brand. An email marketing expert decides which messages stay in the app and which move to Klaviyo, Mailchimp or Omnisend.

Series subscriptions on Enterprise. Time-based and order-based series with calendar swaps suit courses, collectibles and seasonal boxes, and need careful sequencing.

Where the help guide is enough. One product, monthly billing and Shopify Payments: the Starter plan and the help center cover it.

What to ask before handing over your ECA setup

The useful questions for this app are about gateways, order counts and bundles. Generic subscription experience is not enough.

Which gateway stays. Ask what they would bill through. A good answer starts with Shopify Payments, which ECA recommends, and knows that Authorize.net subscriptions take the PayPal wallet only and Stripe is limited to select merchants.

When you hit the next tier. Plan limits count lifetime subscription orders, not monthly ones. Ask them to project when you cross 100, 1,000 or 10,000 orders so the upgrade is in the budget.

Proof on bundles. Ask for a multi-step bundle flow they have built, or have them sketch yours on a draft product with real box sizes.

Translation plan. Selling in French, German or Spanish? Ask how they will localize widget and portal text using the app's language settings.

Grounds for saying no. Moving subscribers before a test renewal clears on the new gateway. Promising Stripe without checking eligibility. Writing custom widget code before trying the built-in widget integrations.

A trial run. Pay for the product and account page widgets plus one test subscription renewed end to end. It covers the parts most likely to break.

Easy Subscriptions App order caps, gateways and languages

Plans cap lifetime orders. As of October 2026: Starter is free with 0% transaction fees up to 100 lifetime subscription orders. Growth is $39 a month ($421 a year) up to 1,000, Scale $99 ($1,069 a year) up to 10,000, and Enterprise $399 ($4,309 a year) with no cap. Paid plans have a 7-day free trial, and reaching a cap means upgrading.

Features open up by tier. Growth adds trials, retention flows, loyalty gift products and third-party integrations. Scale adds upsells, the AI subscription audit, advanced analytics and billing date rules. Enterprise adds series subscriptions and advanced bundle subscriptions.

Gateway rules. Shopify Payments is the recommended gateway and supports automatic card updates. Apple Pay works only with Visa and Mastercard, and some stores may only allow Shop Pay for subscriptions. PayPal Express carries third-party fees if Shopify Payments is off. Adyen support varies by region.

Six storefront languages. The listing names them: English, French, German, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese (Portugal).

Shopify features. It works with Checkout, customer accounts, POS, Shopify Flow and the admin, and asks for access to selling plans, discounts and the theme on install.

Easy Subscriptions pricing, gateway and setup questions

Is the Easy Subscriptions App free?

To start, yes. As of October 2026 the Starter plan is free to install with 0% transaction fees until the store reaches 100 lifetime subscription orders. After that you move to Growth at $39 a month, then Scale at $99 and Enterprise at $399 as order counts rise. Paying yearly saves 10%.

Which payment gateways work with it?

ECA lists Shopify Payments as recommended, plus PayPal Express, Authorize.net and Adyen. Stripe has limited availability for select merchants. Each has conditions: Authorize.net subscriptions take the PayPal wallet only, without Apple Pay or Google Pay, and PayPal Express adds third-party fees when Shopify Payments is off.

Can I bring existing subscribers into Easy Subscriptions?

Yes. The help center has a subscription import, a standard migration guide, and separate guides for subscribers billed through PayPal Express, Authorize.net, Braintree or Stripe. Coming from another subscription app, export every active subscriber with price, interval and next charge date, and test one renewal before moving the rest.

Do I need a developer for the Easy Subscriptions App?

Not for a standard setup. The help center covers adding product, collection and account page widgets without code. Bring in a developer for placement on a heavily edited theme, styled multi-step bundle layouts, or Shopify Flow automations. An app integration expert handles the Flow side.

What should I send an ECA setup expert first?

Your payment gateway, the products and boxes you want to sell on subscription, billing intervals and discounts, and your current subscriber export if you have one. Add the languages your store sells in and the email tool you use, since both change the setup.
